Though we communicate more or less all the time this task seems to be much more difficult than most of us realise and even with the best intentions we are sometimes misunderstood. In this course we will look at what works well, what doesn’t and what to be aware of when you communicate, instruct, give feedback, send emails etc. and how to react to and handle misunderstandings and difficult conversations.

 

COURSE CONTENT

Some of the areas that are usually addressed are:

- Importance of good communication
- How to communicate
- Effective listening and speaking
- Understanding non-verbal communication
- Communication on the distance (email, skype or other means)
- When and how to best use different communication channels
- Culture and context
- Filters and barriers in communication
- Good instructions
- When and how to give good feedback
- Difficult conversations

ACTIVITY LEVEL

The attendees are expected to play an active part and the tools will be trained during the course.
